The Oxford Test of English Demo

Thank you for your interest in the Oxford Test of English demo. For an experience that is most similar to taking the real test, please use one of the following desktop browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge in full screen. Use this demo to help you understand what to expect when you take the only English proficiency test certified by the University of Oxford.
  • 4 Modules: Try the demo of the whole test or try the four test modules separately.
  • 2 hours: As in the real test, completing all four modules of this demo can take up to 2 hours. However, in this demo, you can go to the next part in a module if you want to. You will not be able to do this in the real test.
  • No results: Your answers in this demo will not be marked and you will not receive any results.
  • Not adaptive: Unlike the real test the demo is not adaptive, all of the questions in the demo are presented at B1 level.
